National Convention ~ Glass Show and Sale
Show Chairman Tom Bloom announces the following calendar for the 34th Annual Convention, Glass Show and Sale and extends an invitation for all members, guests, and friends to attend the weekend events:
Consignment Auction: Friday, July 24, 2009, 6:00 pm (Preview 5:00 pm)
New Location - Washington County Fairgrounds Air Conditioned BuildingAuction Chairmen Jack Moore and Bill Howard report a wide variety of beautiful Duncan & Miller pieces have been listed for the auction. Hezzie and Frances Reese will conduct the auction with additional help from Bill McGowan and club volunteers.

Dinner and National Meeting - 7:00 pm
Doors will open for the Dinner Meeting at 7:00 pm. Guests will have an opportunity to preview the evening's prizes. Seating is pre-arranged and Chairmen Beverly Backner and Rosalyn Lalli request that you make your reservations early.
Following dinner, President Susan Allen will conduct the national business meeting. In addition, the election to fill three positions on the Board of Director positions will be held.
Keynote Speaker Tom Felt will discuss Cobalt Glass and give a preview of his newest book, Encyclopedia of Cobalt Glass, which he co-authored with Gene and Bonnie Girard.
Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the program, including this year's special table prizes cut by former Duncan & Miller glasscutter and frequent Journal contributing writer, Clyde King.

Our volunteer experts will attempt to identify your precious pieces. Attendees are invited to bring glass items for identification. Limit two pieces per guest, please.

Four lucky winners will be selected at the Show & Sale for the 2009 Raffle. Remember that winners need not be present. Prizes can be shipped to winners in the continental United States - so members and friends from across the country have an opportunity to participate. Two tickets are included in this issue of the Journal.
